Tank has discussed his firing from Fat Joe's Rewind It 10 campaign, joking that he wants to "pull up" on the Terror Squad head honcho.
The rapper, who co-founded the hair care brand with his wife, Carolyn Aronson, was brought up during the Friday (November 21) episode of The Breakfast Club, during a quick chat about Rewind It 10. Tank said was fired from the brand and replaced by N.O.R.E.
"One day, I was asking to change my picture because the picture on the box looks looks like they put a crackhead filter on me," recounted the R&B Money co-host. "And I said I said, 'Joe, that's not how I look. I never look like that. Somebody hated on me. Can you please change the picture?'"
Fat Joe assured Tank that the picture would be changed, but it never happened, resulting in the singer getting frustrated with the delay.
"We went through months and months and months of please change the picture. Finally, I'm like, 'Joe, this is getting disrespectful,'" Tank continued. "Next thing I know, I'm getting a letter in the mail. 'You will not be renewed for...' and never changed the picture. Look at how they did me."
"So I think they kicked me out and brought N.O.R.E. in," Tank claimed, adding that Fat Joe hadn't reached back out to him. Being that he was in New York starring in Alicia Keys' Hell's Kitchen Broadway musical, Tank joked that he was "going to pull up on" Joe.
Minutes later, DJ Envy said he notified Joe that Tank would be visiting the radio station, but the rapper didn't respond. "He ain't hit me back since the firing," the R&B singer claimed.
While Fat Joe didn't respond to Envy or reach out to Tank, he did hop in the comments section of The Breakfast Club IG post, claiming that it was Tank who sent him the picture to use on the box.
Tank responded, dubbing Joe "Captain Cap" and adding: "Don't do this! You know I have receipts."
