Rich the Kid wants his flowers for contributing a verse on 2024 Ye single "Carnival."

On Wednesday (January 14), the Queens-born rapper reflected on the track, which also featured Playboi Carti and was included on ¥$ debut album Vultures 1. The ¥$ superduo was a collaborative partnership with R&B vocalist and producer Ty Dolla $ign, which lasted for two albums, including Vultures 2.

"Carnival" spent one week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 upon its release, which Rich the Kid took credit for in his Instagram Story. The track also received a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Song but lost to Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us," which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for twenty-two weeks.

"I gave Ye his last #1 in 15 years & maybe his last," the text read in Rich's Instagram Story. "Think about it Ce' La Vie."

In a follow-up post, he continued, "Follow me, I got us..I helped your favorites get on & now when the game dry I still got extra sauce just watch this."

Rich the Kid also collaborated with Ye on 2024 song "Gimme a Second," which featured Ty Dolla $ign and Latin rapper Peso Pluma. Prior to "Carnival" nabbing the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100, his last was "E.T." with Katy Perry. Altogether, the rapper-producer has five chart-topping singles.

Although the rapper didn't specify what artists he's put on, Rich is widely believed to have been an unofficial member of former Atlanta rap trio Migos and appeared on their early mixtapes. The rapper extensively spoke about when he first heard the group in a 2025 episode of podcast Good Talk.
