NLE Choppa believes the flak he caught from Jonathan Majors during their podcast roundtable involves his past crush on Meagan Good.
While on the Kirk Franklin-hosted Den of Kings podcast, NLE received pushback from older men at the table, including Majors and Ray J. In one moment from the October 10 episode, Major urged the Memphis rapper to reread the Bible after he referred to Jesus as his "brother." NLE twice addressed the episode and claimed that Majors avoided eye contact with him.
During a quick chat with TMZ at LAX, NLE recounted being on Den of Kings and alleged that the heat he caught from Majors had to do with Good, whom the actor married in May. "I feel like it's not an issue with Majors," NLE told the reporter. "I never had one. I do feel like it was tension going into the interview on his behalf because I've publicly said things — complimenting Meagan Good about her looks."
"So, like, during the interview, it was certain moments to where I just felt like he kept trying to use the Meagan thing to like...You know how people, as kids, people will wave stuff in your face, like, 'Aye, I got this, you ain't got that," NLE continued. "But it wasn't even that. I respect whatever union y'all have."
The rapper added that during parts of the interview, his references to Good felt "forced and unnatural" to discussion topics, and he allegedly twice waved off NLE.
NLE voiced his crush on Good during several interviews in the past, including one on Hollywood Unlocked in 2023, where host Jason Lee called the actor. After a brief introduction, the Divorce in the Black star hung up on NLE.
