Miley Cyrus might be tying the knot soon with her longtime partner, Maxx Morando.
On Monday (Dec. 1), the Grammy winner, 33, was spotted wearing what fans believed was a diamond engagement ring at the Los Angeles premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash. Morando, 27, was by Cyrus' side during the occasion, and the following day, a source confirmed to People that the couple are engaged. Morando, who's a drummer for rock band Lilly, co-produced songs on Cyrus' ninth album, Something Beautiful.
Francesca Consulting, a rep for the ring's designer, Jacquie Aiche, shared that Aiche made the "bespoke" ring, where the cushion-cut stone is placed on a luxuriant 14-karat gold band.
The couple were first set up on a blind date in 2021, which Cyrus revealed to British Vogue two years later. Cyrus was first married to actor Liam Hemsworth, who starred alongside her in teen romantic drama The Last Song, in 2018 before divorcing two years later.
In a June episode of podcast Sorry We're Stoned, Cyrus joked about her 'cougar' status with Morando, noting their six-year age difference.
"He’ll be 27 when I turn 33, which I’m so excited for him to turn 27 because that was, again, such a great year for me," Cyrus said around the 32-minute mark of the episode below. "I’m just hoping that, as long as he follows in my footsteps, everything is gonna be great. That's right when I started turning my life around."
