Miguel becoming a father has made him reflect on his own relationship with this dad.

The "Do You..." vocalist and first-time father revealed that he's tried drugs with his father on the Tuesday (November 11) episode of podcast Thanks Dad with Ego Nwodim. Around the 42-minute mark of the video below, Miguel shared that he didn't try drugs until adulthood, although his dad offered to try them together when he was younger.

"This is the coolest shit about my dad. My dad was like, 'Now son, if you ever do decide to do drugs, do them with me,'" Miguel said. "He was like, 'Because then you'll be safe and I can make sure you're okay. I'll tell you everything you want to know about what it may make you feel and how it may make you feel."

"'But at least I'll be able to see if anything goes wrong, I'll see you through,'" he continued. 'And I got you. You could you can you can trust you're in safe hands.'"

Although Miguel didn't dabble in substances with his father at the time the offer was presented, he since has. "And honestly, I would say it's so much
more fun to do anything like your drugs, drinking, whatever, with family," he told Nwodim.

Miguel, who released new album Caos last month, discussed on The Bootleg Kev Podcast that he's been on "mostly good" psychedelic trips, mainly when he's been on magic mushrooms.

"The best ones are always outside, though," he said on the podcast. "Either by water or in the forest kind of vibe. Maybe not in the forest, but like the sky is out. You know what I mean? Like you're looking at the trees, you're like, ‘Wow, we really are one.'"
