Kid Cudi has shared how asking Taylor Swift for a favor ended up giving him some cool points with his daughter.
In a new episode of his Big Bro podcast, the rapper sat down to talk with Severance star Adam Scott. During the conversation, Cudi, whose daughter Vada recently turned 16, recounted scoring tickets for her and her friends to see Swift’s Eras Tour.
"She texted me one day, 'Daddy, is it possible for you to get tickets for me and my friends to see Taylor Swift?' I was just like, 'Let me see what I can do,'" Cudi told Scott around the 1:04:00 mark in the video below. "Taylor Swift had me looking like the coolest dad ever."
The "Day n Nite" rapper added that his daughter and her friends attended a Chicago stop of the tour, which would have been in June 2023 at Soldier Field Stadium. Vada's mother also chaperoned the group for a “girls night.”
"I hit up Taylor’s team. We were like, 'Do you have any extra tickets?' They gave us the friends-and-family tickets, so it was a good location in the stadium," Cudi continued. "I remember my daughter texted me back like, 'Dad, you’re the best.' I was just like, 'Yeah, man!' Thank you, Taylor Swift."
Following its nearly two-year run, The Eras Tour concluded in December 2024 after 149 live performances and earning over $1 billion in concert revenue, a first for any artist. In December 2025, Disney+ released a behind-the-scenes 6-part docuseries about the tour, titled Taylor Swift: The End of an Era.
Kid Cudi kicked off his own Rebel Ragers tour in Phoenix, Arizona earlier this week with an expansive 30-song performance.
The tour, which comes ahead of the release of his feature-length directorial debut Doe, will see him hitting 33 total cities. Serving as special guests on the headlining run are M.I.A., Big Boi, and more.
