Jeezy has opened up about his dating life, sharing that he's been taking some time to practice self-love by going on solo dates.
On Tuesday (June 2), the rapper and author appeared as a guest on TODAY to discuss his upcoming Las Vegas residency and shared why he hasn't yet returned to the dating pool.
In 2024, Jeezy finalized his divorce from television personality Jeannie Mai after two years of marriage. The ex-spouses had a custody battle over their four-year-old daughter, Monaco. The rapper also has a son, Jadarius, 28, and a nine-year-old daughter, Amra, from previous relationships.
"I’m dating myself right now and I feel like, as a man, you should always take time to be with yourself," Jeezy shared.
One personal date that Jeezy regularly enjoys is going out for sushi every Wednesday night. "I get dressed up, I do the whole thing," he shared. "And I go out and I have a bottle of sake, a bottle of wine and my favorite sushi and date myself. I think it’s amazing."
Last June, Jeezy appeared on The Breakfast Club and shared that he and Mai were on amicable terms and that he's grown to have an "understanding."
"I don't want no enemies, I don't want no issues, I just want peace, I just want joy and I just want freedom. I love my freedom," the rapper said.
Mai also enjoys solo outings, which she documented in a May vlog while discussing how her standards have changed. The former co-host of The Real was previously married to television host Freddy Harteis from 2007 to 2018.
