GloRilla and Young Thug are no longer beefing after the latter had a viral phone conversation where he gossiped about the Glorious artist.
In early September, a series of Young Thug's collect calls leaked and were widely circulated nearly one year after the UY SCUTI rapper was released from jail. In one call, Thugger was on the phone with his girlfriend, vocalist Mariah the Scientist, when he joked about GloRilla's looks.
The rapper insisted that GloRilla was unattractive to him, laughed about her being compared to Rihanna and said he would "not pursue" the Memphis native. Despite this, the "Let Her Cook" rapper tweeted that Young Thug did show interest in her and texted her about her eye color.
But during a new interview with Complex's Jordan Rose, GloRilla said she and Young Thug have since made amends. "We cool, we cool," GloRilla said. "It was a funny conversation. I don't take a lot of stuff too serious. Like, I joke, especially like if it ain't like no death or fighting matter, nothing like that. I ain't going to take it too serious."
When Rose suggested that she and Thugger should collaborate, she continued, "We'll see about it."
After the viral call made its rounds on social media, GloRilla laughed it off with a diss track titled "Brianna," that sampled and interpolated 2008 Hotstylz single "Lookin' Boy." Along with poking fun at Mariah's voice on the song, GloRilla declared that Thug looked like a "freaky ass frog" and "Jamaican Vegeta," among other jabs.
Thug would later apologize to GloRilla in a tweet, and on UY SCUTI track "I Miss My Dogs," where he also addressed being in the wrong for putting Mariah through "madness."
