GELO Swerves in Music Video for Viral Single "Tweaker"

The basketball player turned rapper is joined by his brothers Lonzo Ball of the Chicago Bulls and LaMelo Ball of the Charlotte Hornets.

LiAngelo Ball, professionally known as GELO or G3, bends the corner and hits the streets with his brothers Lonzo and LaMelo in the music video for his viral single "Tweaker."

In the HPLA-directed video, the new Def Jam signee takes in the success of "Tweaker," which debuted at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this month. Filmed in his hometown of Los Angeles, with certain parts shot in Chicago, GELO is shown rapping into numerous microphones representing the newfound attention on him, and rides with his squad in a massive yellow truck before hitting a party filled with women in body-clad attire.

At the end of the video, GELO is asked "So, what's next?" A 10-second snippet of a new song plays that sounds like a suitable follow-up to "Tweaker."

Since the song's debut on Jan. 3, "Tweaker" has racked up 38 million Spotify streams, hitting number one on the platform's Viral U.S. and Worldwide chart, along with top-charting positions on Apple Music Hip-Hop and Tunes Top Hip-Hop/Rap Songs.

The breakout hit has also been a fan favorite on TikTok, and it's gotten listens from everyone, from Boosie Badazz to actress Storm Reid. GELO is now eyeing the release of his debut album for Def Jam.

"It means a lot to sign to Def Jam," GELO said in a press release. "When I was a kid my dad always listened to DMX, and we had the video game Def Jam: Fight for NY. We met everybody, and I played them a bunch of songs. They wanted to hear it all. I really love their energy and excitement about everything I’m doing."

GELO was also the latest guest on 360 with Speedy, which you can watch below.
