LiAngelo Ball is currently inactive when it comes to basketball thanks to a ligament injury, but he might have found himself a new career path after a preview of some of his latest music picked up traction online.

The 26-year-old basketball player, who most recently played for the Mexican team Astros de Jalisco, recently made an appearance on Kick streamer N3on's channel. While on the streamer, he previewed his new song under his rapper alias G3, entitled "Tweaker." With a throwback vibe to the track, it's started a conversation among hip-hop and basketball fans about whether LiAngelo could gain success with a pivot countless other players have failed at.

The full track is scheduled to drop later on Friday, Jan. 3 through Worldstar, but fans have already been comparing the preview to some of the popular rap music of the '00s. Some suggested that it would make for a great intro track for a PS2-era sports games, while others added the song to clips of classic music videos from around the same time.

"Tweaker" has since arrived on various streaming services include Apple Music, as shared by LiAngelo's brother Lonzo below.

If LiAgnelo can garner success as a rapper, it could be a good pivot for him after he failed to make much of an impact during his brief time in the JBA, G-League, and the NBA. His brothers Lonzo and LaMelo, meanwhile, have done quite well for themselves since they got involved with the NBA.

Check out some of the reactions to the viral clip below, and look out for the full song when it arrives later on Friday.
