Pop musician Charlie Puth has some new “Changes” in his life: he’s officially a first-time father.
As a surprise start to the week, on Monday (March 23), the singer-songwriter posted on Instagram that he and his wife, Brooke Puth, welcomed their first child, a boy, on March 13. The couple, who married in September 2024, named their son Jude, presumably after The Beatles’ 1968 classic, “Hey Jude,” referenced in the caption.
The Instagram carousel shows adorable pictures of the newborn in a white and blue onesie, Puth cradling his son, crib bedding emblazoned with Jude’s name, and Polaroid pictures of the musician, his wife and their family members in the delivery room. Puth and his wife revealed that they were expecting a child in the “Changes” music video, which was released last October.
Earlier this month, Puth appeared on TODAY, where he expressed concern around touring after his child’s birth. “It’s difficult to comprehend how I’m going to get all of this done at the same time,” the “See You Again” co-artist said around the six-minute mark of the video below. “Having first child and then going on a world tour. I just want to make sure I’m always there for my baby.”
Later this week, Puth will release his fourth studio album, Whatever’s Clever!, which is slated to feature jazz legend Kenny G, Ravyn Lenae, Coco Jones, actor Jeff Goldblum and more.
