Recent comments made by Jade Thirlwall about not wanting to work with Charlie Puth prompted Bella Thorne to air out her own grievances with the singer.

According to Cosmopolitan, Thorne jumped in the comments of an Instagram post from @popfaction, which included a headline about Thirlwall refusing to collaborate with Puth again.

"Yeah I mean.. he lied to the entire world about me and started a hate train,” Thorne said in the comment section. “All because I wouldn't .... do the deed with him."

Thirwall’s remarks arrived during an episode of Harriet Rose’s KISS show, Say It Or Shot It, where the singer was asked to name a musician she would avoid working with.

"I feel like the fans already know someone I wouldn't collaborate with, which is Charlie Puth," she said. When asked why, she responded, "I just don't. Nothing just yet to say on that one."

Thorne and Puth’s beef is a bit more recent. In 2017, Puth implied Bella cheated on her ex-boyfriend, Tyler Posey, with Puth when they started hanging out. She denied the claims and doubled down when photos surfaced of Thorne and Puth appearing to get close, saying they weren’t what they seemed to be.

Apparently, Puth jumped to conclusions when he saw an article about her and Posey. Thorne later said that the date on the article was “old” and that it did portray her and Posey as “still being together," though they weren't.

Puth and Thirlwall’s apparent feud dates back to 2016, when Puth worked on the song “Oops” with Thirlwall’s group, Little Mix. Over the years, the 3-person British girl group said it regrets releasing the song. Puth performed the song with the trio on X-Factor—the show on which Little Mix was created—and it appears, developed a crush on Thirlwall, not knowing she was in a relationship at the time.
