50 Cent shouted out criminal defense attorney Drew Findling after he got rapper YNW Melly off the hook on witness tampering charges.
Findling, who boasts Cardi B, Lil Baby and Gucci Mane among his hip-hop clients, got a shoutout in an Instagram post by Fif on Tuesday (Jan. 20), after Broward County state prosecutors dropped tampering with a witness charges against Melly.
The 25-year-old has been incarcerated for over six years and is currently awaiting retrial for double murder in 2027 after a mistrial in July 2023. The Florida rapper, real name Jamell Demons, is accused of involvement in the murder of his two friends, Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas, Jr, who were slain in a drive-by shooting in October 2018.
According to NBC Miami, along with the witness tampering charges, three other charges were dropped against Melly, including overseeing criminal gang activity, inciting murder and plotting to tamper with a witness on a capital felony.
The decision was supported by Fifty in an Instagram post, where he called Findling a "bad man" who is "beating all the cases."
"Blink if you need help. LOL." the G-Unit frontman continued.
Findling joined Melly's legal team in 2025 after the rapper requested new defense attorneys, replacing his former representation of Raven Liberty, Stuart Adelstein and Daniel Aaronson, per NBC Miami.
In November 2024, Fifty recommended Findling as a lawyer who could represent Lil Durk, with the rapper also facing a murder-for-hire trial, which is set to begin in April. The Chicago native is alleged to have ordered a hit on Georgia rapper Quando Rondo in retaliation for the murder of rapper King Von. In 2022, Rondo's cousin, Saviay'a Robinson, was hit in the shooting allegedly intended for the "Dope Boy Dreams" artist.
"Lil Durk got Drew Findling on the case he sharp," Fif captioned an Instagram post at the time. “If [the prosecution] didn’t cross their T's and dot their i's he gonna hit the bricks again."
