Unlike Lenny Kravitz and Omarion, 50 Cent hasn't publicized the length of time he's been celibate, but he still advocates for self-restraint from sex to "focus."

To promote his new book The Accomplice, 50 Cent was a guest on The Drew Barrymore Show on Monday (Sept. 16). During the visit, Barrymore and Fifty discussed 'Naughty News,' one of the headlines being about celebrities who've revealed that they're currently celibate.

After sharing that he's been celibate before, 50 Cent explained around the 2:30-minute mark of the video below that celibacy "allows you to focus."

"And then when you go out with people, you go out with different intentions 'cause you're not looking for that."

When Barrymore asked what the rapper and media mogul is "looking for," Fif answered, "Real friendship."

"The foundation of a relationship is friendship," he continued before adding that "expectations change from the woman."

"Because a man will still be in friend zone in his head [but] he's doing additional stuff."

The 49-year-old agreed with Barrymore's claim that "everything changes" once sex is introduced to the friendship. But when asked why men have no problem sleeping with their friends, Fifty said, "'Cause it's good."

"You know, before you buy cars, sometimes you want a test drive–want to make sure you got the right car."

The Power executive producer last spoke on the benefits of celibacy and remaining single while visiting The Late Show with Stephen Colbert earlier this month.

"Listen, when you calm down, you can focus," Fif told Colbert about his celibacy journey around the 4:45-minute mark of the video below. "I've been good to me."

At the beginning of the year, Fifty shared on Instagram that he'd been celibate, one post sharing that the decision was for him to "focus" and "train harder."
