Offset is already up and running less than a week after being involved in a casino shooting on April 6 in Florida.
On April 11, Offset posted a photo of him onstage, although it’s unclear what performance he was booked for. In the video, he’s seen getting up from a wheelchair to raucous applause. He captioned the post “REAL LOVE.”
The rapper appears to be doing well after being shot outside of a Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, taking to socials to assure fans he’s alright.
”Thank you to everyone who’s checked in on me and showed me love!” Offset said in a statement shared to social media on Friday (April 10). “I’m good….but I’m planning to be better! I’m focused on my family, my recovery, and getting back to the music…realizing that life is made up of quiet wins and loud losses…. Life’s a gamble and I’m still playing to win.”
Although details are sparse as of publishing time, authorities confirmed fellow rapper Lil Tjay “has been charged with disorderly conduct - affray, a first-degree misdemeanor under Florida Statute 870.01.” Tjay’s lawyer released a statement clarifying: “Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting.”
After the incident, Offset’s rep confirmed in a statement to Complex on Monday (April 6) he had been “shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care,” adding that he was “stable and being closely monitored” at the time.
Sure enough, a day after the shooting, Offset was snapped outside of the hospital taking a smoke break.
