Although it appears New York icon Judi Jupiter caught Azealia Banks on a good day for one of her impromptu interviews, the rapper made it clear afterward that she wasn’t a fan.
At a dinner for members-only dining experience Comunal in New York, Jupiter ran into Banks. In typical fashion, the 77-year-old social media star is usually already filming — sometimes with flash — and asks people who they are, what they do, etc. Part of her charm is the lack of knowledge she has on some of her more famous subjects, which include Metro Boomin and Sabrina Carpenter.
Banks had her back turned to Jupiter when she was greeted with the camera, appearing bewildered while being asked if she’s a singer and if she’s from New York. “What’s going on?” Banks asked, confused with the rapid fire line of questioning.
“Anything you want to say to my followers?” Jupiter asks, to which Banks declines. After Jupiter then asks for her to show off her outfit, the “212” rapper changes her tune and says she’s in a bad mood. “Can you stop recording me?” Banks asks, and the video ends.
The video went viral, with people reacting to Banks’ confusion and Jupiter’s charm. However, the rapper broke her silence on X the day after, calling Jupiter a “goofy punchable bitch.”
Banks went on to say she has “never heard” of Jupiter and would rather focus her attention on educating the youth on the “Glory of Zionism” (Banks’ new cause).
Banks went on to upload a video addressing the situation, saying: "I thought that was the n***a's grandmother or something. I'm not cursing somebody's grandmother out at the thing. She acting thirsty and stupid, but like, please stop riling me up because I will really punch Judi Jupiter in her fucking face...please don't spike my anger. Because I don't know who this woman is. And y'all making me want to punch her. Like, y'all really making me just want to, like, knock the shit out of this old ass lady."
As of now, Jupiter still has the video up on her Instagram and appears to remain unpunched.
