DaBaby has settled the lawsuit stemming from his 2022 bowling alley altercation with Brandon Curiel, the brother of his ex-girlfriend DaniLeigh.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, a notice of settlement was filed Thursday in the case, which originated from a brawl at Corbin Bowl in Los Angeles. The filing states the matter will be dismissed within 45 days.
The settlement wraps up a legal battle that has dragged on for years. Curiel, who goes by Brandon Bill$, sued DaBaby and the bowling alley over injuries he allegedly sustained during the fight, which was captured on video and showed DaBaby and members of his crew attacking Curiel inside the venue.
Last month, deposition testimony revealed new details about what allegedly happened in the moments before the brawl. According to Curiel's account, DaBaby approached him and said, "I just want to slap you up a bit. I just want to slap you around a little bit," before throwing the first punch. DaBaby's legal team pushed back on that version of events, arguing that Curiel was the aggressor.
Financial terms of the settlement have not been disclosed.
DaBaby addressed the brawl in 2022, telling The Breakfast Club “I’m still scared of that situation now.
“I heard it was gonna be rough for me so I don’t really speak on that,” he added. “N***a might pop up downstairs.”
