Wilfy D is back, this time calling on the talents of singer-songwriter BenjiFlow for his second release of 2025: “In My System”.
The Bristol-based beatsmith had a busy year last year: “IDKW”, his groovy R&B-house cut released on HOLD A CORNER Records, took over UK dancefloors in a major way, as did “Like This” and his collab with K-Lone, “On The Down Low”. These three releases have set him up for even greater success in 2025.
Following January’s “LOVER/LOSER” with Eljé comes Wilfy D’s latest offering, “In My System”, which has the potential to become the funky anthem of the summer. As someone who has championed the UK funky scene since its inception in the late-2000s, as both a DJ and an exec producer, I definitely know a hit when I hear one, and this is one of them. Here, BenjiFlow nods to the Afrobeats world with his vocal styling, and it works perfectly with Wilfy D’s xylophone-laced, bass-and-bounce-heavy production.
You can expect to hear this in all of my DJ sets for the foreseeable future (check out his Amapiano-infused heater, “Day & Nite”, too).
