Bristol-based producer Wilfy D has just dropped a new single, “IDKW”, a light and melodic new gem that expands on the blend of R&B, house and garage that’s become his signature.

“IDKW” is the first release on HOLD A CORNER, a new London-based label and platform that soft-launched in March before formally introducing itself to the world with a Room 3 takeover at Fabric nightclub in May.

“I want people to listen to it and feel uplifted,” says Wilfy D of his latest drop. “It doesn’t matter where they are or what they're doing, my aim is to create human connection and give people a sense of escapism.

“It doesn’t really matter where that happens—in or out of the club, at home or in the gym, wherever.”

“During a time where the future of UK nightlife is so uncertain, the connection sentiment behind this record feels especially pertinent,” HOLD A CORNER said in a statement. “This also reflects the ‘Nothing Happens Backstage’ ethos that inspired HOLD A CORNER Records. Through music and releases, the label sets out to embody that special feeling of taking over a section of the dance floor with your peers—one of the most intimate human experiences there is, yet one that takes place in an environment where everyone is welcome.”

Hit play on “IDKW” below and if you’re at Glastonbury this year, you can catch the HOLD A CORNER family at the Greenpeace Field.
