One thing has been confirmed amid the coronavirus outbreak: a lot of people don’t wash their hands properly or long enough.

One teen has a fix for that. William Gibson created a site called Wash Your Lyrics to “generate handwashing infographics based on your favorite song lyrics,” the site reads. According to Highsnobiety, the 17-year-old wants to be a full-stack developer, designer, and engineer. He’s currently based in the U.K. where he goes to school for computing.

Gibson shared the handwashing generator on Sunday, tweeting, “I made a little site in 24h that generates hand washing instructions accompanied by lyrics from a song of your choice instantly - check it out!”

In just a day, the meme generator went viral. He revealed that 89,527 posters had been created within a day, with the most popular songs being Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up,” Smash Mouth’s “All Star,” and Toto’s “Africa”—in that order.

Users have been having fun with it, creating memes based on songs by Lil B, Outkast, Justin Bieber, Destiny’s Child, TLC, and more.

“I just wanted a way to create these memes quickly,” Gibson told Highsnobiety. “At the moment COVID-19 is a huge topic with the recent outbreak, and the idea of washing your hands regularly is being rightfully pushed, so it’s also me partly wanting to make that more fun.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has advised some simple precautions to prevent the spread of infection, which include “frequent hand washing, staying home when sick, and covering coughs and sneezes.” It seems that most people don’t wash their hands for the suggested 20 seconds—but Gibson’s generator is making that a lot easier.
