Travis Scott might be one of hip-hop's most successful artists, but he still has dreams of studying architecture.

Speaking to Rolling Stone for its latest cover, the Utopia rapper shared his education aspirations while touring the Beverly Hills home of Oakley Sunglasses founder, Jim Jannard, which is currently on sale for $65 million.

"I wanna go to school eventually and study engineering architecture," Scott, who was recently named the Chief Visionary Officer of Oakley, said around the 2:15-minute mark in the video below. "I feel like everyone dreams in a render. But when it comes down to actually making it, it's never a reality. … It's not even about the school, it's just about learning."

Scott mentioned he’s interested in schools such as University of California, Berkeley, and Harvard University.

"I like spaces. I love experiences," he said, when asked why he’s drawn to architecture. "I love things that make you come alive. I think certain things are like inspirations. Whether it's cars, whether it is, you know, furniture, shoes, clothes, music, whatever. They're all like inspiration…that can give you a drive or wake you up to push you to go do something."

This isn't the first time Scott has expressed an interest in architecture. In 2023, he told GQ that he wanted to pursue his passion for architecture after wrapping his Circus Maximus Tour.

"I’m going to Harvard for architecture school," he said at the time. "I got to work hard to get in. They’re not letting me take any shortcuts."

"I’ve always been into structural design and structural engineering and, you know, trying to just build all different type of things, right?" he added. "When you start seeing how odd things can be shaped and then see how they can structurally work, it’s interesting. And I’m always trying to be like an ultimate problem solver."

Scott’s Circus Maximus Tour was a two-year trek, kicking off in October 2023 and wrapping in November 2025. The jaunt earned a total of $265 million across 85 shows, making it the highest-earning solo rap tour of all time and the second-highest-earning rap tour after Drake’s It’s All a Blur Tour.
