Top Dawg Entertainment is welcoming a new artist into the fold.
On Tuesday, Variety reported that the South Carolina rapper is now signed to TDE, in partnership with 11 Music Group LLC. Dickey has had some standout moments over the last year, like being featured on Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 3 livestream, unleashing an On the Radar freestyle, and sharing the Key Glock-featuring song, “Down South.”
“Being signed to TDE feels like joining the Golden State Warriors or the Lakers,” Trap Dickey told the outlet. “I’m looking forward to a winning season with TDE.”
Dickey began rapping when he was 21 years old, after he was accidentally shot as a bystander. His breakthrough came in 2023, when he released the song “Blue Devils” and its DaBaby-featuring remix. Since then, he’s dropped off singles like “Yeah Yeah” with Boosie Badazz and “No Love” with BigXthaPlug.
“Trap Dickey has a real story that comes straight from his life,” Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, founder and CEO of Top Dawg Entertainment, told Variety. “That kind of authenticity is exactly what we look for at TDE. We’re excited to welcome him to our roster.”
TDE’s current lineup includes veteran acts like SZA, Schoolboy Q, and Isaiah Rashad, as well as newer acts like Doechii, Devin Malik, and Alameda.
