Doechii is closing out the year with a brand new song, "Girl, Get Up," featuring SZA — check it out above.
The new single arrives with an accompanying music video that shows the TDE rapper dancing and drinking champagne in a bikini on what seems to be a boat. SZA doesn’t appear in the visual.
Addressing accusations that she's an industry plant, Doechii spits: "All that industry plant shit wack / I see it on the blogs, I see you in the chats / 'You suck every rap n***a dick from the back' / But what’s the agenda when the It girl Black?"
She continues: "Y’all can’t fathom that I worked this hard / Y’all can’t fathom that I earned this chart / Y’all can’t stand my vibe ‘cuz I’m anointed / All y’all evil ass hoes just annoying."
Doechii also posted new artwork to her story.
The two artists, who are both signed to TDE, have had colossal years. In 2024, Doechii released her hit project, Alligator Bites Never Heal, which peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, and for which she won the Grammy for Best Rap Album earlier this year.
As for SZA, she’s still riding high off the release of her 2022 album, SOS, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and remained atop the chart for 10 non-consecutive weeks. It climbed back to the top spot following the release of her 2024 SOS deluxe, Lana.
Both artists also went on tour in 2025. SZA spent the better part of this year on the road, co-headlining Kendrick Lamar’s Grand National Tour from April to December, while Doechii went on her five-week long Live from the Swamp Tour.
The two artists previously collaborated on Doechii’s 2022 song "Persuasive," which appeared on her second EP, She / Her / Black Bitch.
