Meek Mill is trying to set some boundaries.

The Dreams and Nightmares rapper took to X on Monday, writing, “I got too many people asking me for favors ... too many people thinking they know my mentality when they don't... and I have too many people tryna be in my business! We have to get some understanding going!”

Last week, he revealed we might receive a new full-length album from him this summer as a recently minted independent artist. His last studio offering was 2021’s Expensive Pain, which arrived via Atlantic and Maybach Music Group.

The Philadelphia native told Raud’s stream that he’s gearing up to do “something they’ve never seen before” now that he’s independent.

“I’m independent, so I had to learn this shit my own,” Meek said. “I was getting 13 percent for, like, 13 years. Now I’m getting 100 percent of this shit.”

“Now I’ve got all ownership, so I had to take over,” he added. “And now we’ve got it. I’m about to do something else, something they’ve never seen before. I’ll talk about it when we do it.”

In 2022, Meek publicly denounced Atlantic for failing to promote Expensive Pain, claiming the label “put nothing into” the album.

In the years since his last album, Meek released his tape, Flamers 5 in 2022, his joint album with Rick Ross, Too Good to Be True in 2023, and his EP Heathenism in 2024.

ComplexCon returns to Las Vegas on October 25–26, 2025, with over 300 brands and live performances by Young Thug, YEAT & Friends, Peso Pluma, Central Cee, Ken Carson, and more. Get your tickets now
