50 Cent is reportedly gearing up to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary at Donald Trump Jr.’s members-only MAGA club, and Ebro Darden is not happy about it.
On the latest episode of The Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show, Darden reacted to Monday’s reports that Fif is playing the Executive Branch, which Trump Jr. co-owns, on July 3.
“I don’t like it,” Ebro said around the 43:15 minute mark of this video. In addition to Fif, Ebro highlighted Ja Rule, Busta Rhymes, and Timbaland, all of whom, per “a person with ties to the club,” have performed there in the past. “I know y'all don't need the money,” Darden said of the group.
Ja Rule, per The Washington Times, hosted a party at the club on June 13, the day before the UFC 250 fight at the White House. Busta reportedly was featured at the club’s Christmas Soirée this past December. No specifics were immediately available about Timbaland’s relationship to the club. Nelly, while unmentioned by Darden, reportedly performed there this past April.
Ebro said he believes the artists are appearing there because they “want the business relationships” and “business opportunities.”
When Peter Rosenberg asked if Ebro thinks it’s just to get to “a bag,” he said no at first.
“I don't know what they're getting paid. But, yeah, okay, maybe it is just a bag,” he added. He then referenced Jay-Z and Beyoncé, who were spotted sitting with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner at a charity dinner in September.
“It's all just big money,” Ebro said.
He said that while he doesn’t believe 50 Cent has ever voted, it’s still not a good move.
“Especially at a time where the communities that all of y'all come from are dealing with the fallout of all of this B.S.—that's really the piece for me.” He continued, “The other trash part about this whole thing, you know the crowd sucks, you know the crowd is all pale pink, no rhythm. You know it is.”
On Monday, 50 made headlines for reports that he’s set to perform at the Executive Branch, joining previous performers like Busta Rhymes, Ja Rule, Timbaland, and Nelly.
The Executive Branch is situated in Washington, D.C.’s Georgetown neighborhood and charges a $500,000 annual membership fee. It was co-founded by Trump Jr., Omeed Malik, and Christopher Buskirk in 2025.
The news regarding 50 Cent follows previous claims that he turned down a $3 million offer to play Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally in New York City because he’s “afraid of politics.”
“I stay away from religion, I stay away from politics,” he told The Breakfast Club in 2024.
His professed fear of politics hasn’t prevented 50 from criticizing some elected officials in recent months.
