DDG is forever team Drake. The rapper and YouTuber joined the Mani Petty podcast, and was asked to pick Drizzy or Kendrick Lamar in a beef.

“I think Drake is the best artist alive,” he told the hosts at the 45:45 mark of the video below. “Personally, you know. Not even being biased or whatever, but like just from a listener’s standpoint, Drake has went platinum in all genres, and that’s not really…reciprocated. People haven’t really done it.”

This isn’t a new position. Back in January, DDG revealed that he’s a loyal fan of the 6 God.

"I could never switch up on Drake as a fan, bruh," DDG said during a livestream. "I just can't. Even if he did something to me personally. I just couldn't. Because I grew up listening to the n***a, bruh. I've been listening to the music since I was a kid."

He added, "I could never switch up. I'm just a loyal-ass fan. If I'm a fan of your stuff, I'mma be a fan of your stuff forever.”

Those feelings are mutual. In March, the For All the Dogs rapper called him “too real,” saying that they “bonded” after playing basketball together.

DDG sat down with Speedy Morman, where he discussed being a Drake fan, sharing that Drizzy invited him to hoop one-on-one.

"I went to go hoop with him and he was whooping my ass," DDG said. "And I was like, 'Damn'... 'Cause you got to think, it didn't really feel competitive to me. It felt like, 'Nah, I'm just hooping against one of my favorite rappers.'"

When Speedy asked if he thought they bonded, DDG responded, “Not really.”

But Drake thought differently, responding to the segment on his Instagram Story, writing, “DDG too real. We bonded in my opinion I dunno…"
