Boosie Badazz is attempting to make amends with his daughter after being publicly slammed for commenting on her sexuality.

Last Friday, Boosie appeared on a live taping of Caresha Please!, where he made homophobic remarks about his daughter, Iviona Hatch aka Poison Ivi, and her partner; Iviona later responded him online.

On Saturday, he took to Instagram to make several posts about the situation. "Never meant to hurt you," he wrote alongside old photos of him and Iviona. "Daddy bby,” he added.

In another post, he dismissed the backlash: "Yall won't make me look like a bad father," he wrote. "I love my kids I'm a good father."

He continued in additional posts, writing, “God got us,” “We good,” and “What is understood doesn't need to be said."

Boosie appeared on Yung Miami’s live show on Friday and revealed that he doesn’t let his openly lesbian daughter’s partner into his home because he doesn’t want her to “contaminate” the younger children.

"She still can't bring her situation to our house. My daughter is grown—Because I don't want it to contaminate her others [siblings]," he said. "It's a generation we're raising, and I don't want her to get too contaminated for her other six or seven sisters who look up to her. I want them to bring me grandchildren."

Iviona later responded: “If you know me, I love and respect my siblings with everything in me. And they respect me and love me with everything in them,” she said in a clip. “When you getting on they nerves, I’m who they call. Most of my sibling are teenagers—teenagers that you don’t want to see grow up.”
