ASAP Rocky abandoned his scheduled Reddit AMA.
On Monday, the Harlem artist was set to participate in an “ask me anything” session with fans, but cancelled, slamming the moderators of the ASAP Rocky subreddit.
“WAS GON DO AMA , FUK IT NOW!” he wrote. “YALL MODS ARE CLOWNS.”
A moderator responded to Rocky’s complaint on the subreddit, writing, “I'm sorry Mr Rocky. We sent you a mod invite so this doesn't happen again. Shit got caught in the reddit spam filter even tho we approved your account.”
“Everyone feel free to roast us in the comments, we goofed up, nobody is gonna get banned,” the mod added.
Rocky is gearing up for Friday's arrival of his album, Don’t Be Dumb. In advance of the project’s release, the 37-year-old dropped the new song “Helicopter” and its accompanying video.
The visual quickly prompted speculation that it was AI-generated due to its distinctive animation. When Rocky caught wind of the comments, he responded online. "THIS VIDEO IS NOT Ai GENERATED! THIS VIDEO IS NOT Ai GENERATED!" Rocky wrote multiple times, adding, "JUST GENERATIONAL."
“Helicopter” follows Rocky’s lead album single, “Punk Rocky,” and its accompanying video, which boasts a feature from Winona Ryder.
