6ix9ine didn’t like 21 Savage calling him a "rat boy."
During 21’s interview with Perspektives With Bank, he indirectly referenced the rainbow-haired rapper, suggesting that online criticism signalled the end of 6ix9ine’s career.
"The rat boy who was wearing lace fronts and shit," Savage said at around the 37:30 minute mark. "The n***a who told in New York, man, who told on all them n***as in New York, the Mexican, the Internet took his shit down. He can't go. Ain't no gas in the car, n***a, what you mean he just stopped?"
Tekashi retaliated in a swift and petty manner, taking to his Instagram on Friday to post a skit of himself pretending to be some sort of British magistrate, while another man pretends to be 21.
"You got to understand, I need to be from Atlanta," the actor portraying 21 says in the clip. "I need to be a gangster rapper. I can't be Central Cee and Skepta and these guys. Nobody takes them seriously... I know Jay-Z. I can call Jay-Z. I'm begging you, I'll do anything. You can have my chain."
6ix9ine, as a magistrate, chases the 21 Savage actor and tackles him, before the real 6ix9ine comes out, tells the fake 21, “You’ll never be an American,” and slaps him.
The skit, of course, pokes fun at 21’s own visa issues. In 2019, ICE arrested him for overstaying his visa and divulging his UK citizenship. A 4-year legal battle ensued, with 21 finally obtaining his green card in 2023.
6ix9ine recently trolled 21 for his immigration status. In late September, the “Gummo” rapper. “I’m a US citizen, that’s what separates us,” 6ix9ine to DJ Akademiks. “I have a blue passport. 21 Savage not from here.”
