The West Coast got a big surprise from The Weeknd on Tuesday night. Shortly before 6 p.m. PT, the Canadian singer announced he would be "poppin’ up somewhere in LA" on Twitter.
The Weeknd didn’t provide any details beyond that, but his tweet immediately sparked rumors that he would make an appearance at 6LACK's concert at The Roxy.

It was a theory that made total sense since The Weeknd went on Instagram on Monday and posted a photo of 6LACK and Toronto rapper Nav.
And it was a theory that would ultimately prove to be correct as The Weeknd did end up making a "surprise" appearance at 6LACK's show. He performed "Reminder" and "Starboy" for the crowd:
Could this mean the two are planning to work together more in the future? Maybe. But for now, those fans who missed out on the chance to see them perform together are kicking themselves:
