Premiere: Watch Taylor Bennett's New Video for "STREAMING SERVICES"

The track will be featured on Taylor Bennett's upcoming project, 'The American Reject.'

Taylor Bennett drops off the official music video for "STREAMING SERVICES," his first release since 2018's Be Yourself EP.

The Chicago artist shared the single on SoundCloud last month and performed it during an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. "STREAMING SERVICES" finds Taylor reflecting on the struggles an independent artist can face in the current music landscape. He also touches on the downside of fame and the sacrifices many entertainers have been forced to make.

"Knowin' everything you got came with a hard cost/Knowin' you gotta keep two Glocks in like all your cars," he raps over the Brasstracks-produced beat. "Well Twitter's a weird place, my fans like my rib cage/I love you like tomorrow 'cause tomorrow gets misplaced /They write about me, talk about you, talk about our ways."

The "STREAMING SERVICES" video shows Taylor in full rock star mode, as he's seen performing on a rooftop alongside Melo Makes Music and ZXXK, taking over stadium arenas, running from a mob of screaming fans, and riding atop a giraffe. The video also includes shots of news headlines that underscore the artist's rapid success.

"I created 'STREAMING SERVICES' to educate the world on independent artist struggles to navigate through an industry built on their own creativity," Taylor previously said of the record. "Years later still having little to no understanding of how to distribute and collect funds from our own product."

"The whole process of this video was about showing that anyone can be a rock star," director Stripmall explained. "Taylor was super consistent about this message, and adding some of the flare that this video has into that message made this one of our favorite projects to work on."

You can watch the "STREAMING SERVICES" video up top and grab the song on iTunes here. It will be featured on Bennett's upcoming project, The American Reject.
