Nick Cannon's beef with Eminem and 50 Cent has pretty much come to a standstill. And Cannon has an idea why.

The multi-hyphenate spoke about the diss exchange during an appearance on 99 Jamz's Afternoon Get Down. Cannon was asked to provide an update on the drama, as neither side has given it any fuel in recent days.

"I don't know. I feel, like, at this point, we had a lot of fun with it during the last season of Wild 'n Out, and we get back to it—you know, the jokes ain't ever gonna stop," Cannon said, before insisting he wasn't the one who instigated the feud. "I’mma match your energy wherever you at. I didn’t start it, he came at me. I just swing heavy."

Host Supa Cindy interjected: "[Eminem] probably thought you were gonna stay quiet." It seemed Cindy was referring to Fat Joe's 2019 track "Lord Above," in which Slim touched on Cannon's previous marriage to Mariah Carey, who just so happens to be at the center of the beef.

"I know me and Mariah didn't end on a high note/But that other dude's whipped, that pussy got him neutered," Em rapped on the track. "Tried to tell him this chick's a nut job before he got his jewels clipped."

Cannon said he wasn't going to bite his tongue.

"That’s the thing. Everybody was saying, 'You better not say nothing,' and I’m like, 'Why not, nobody’s scared of him,'" Cannon explained, before touching on Fif's subsequent involvement. "Even with 50, ain't nobody scared of 50 either. I'm like, 'Let's go!' You know, I match energy."

He continued: "It might have gotten a little too intense for them. But [Eminem is] still welcome to come on my show whenever he wants to get down."

Cannon then revealed he's been trying to get Fif on Wild 'n Out for a minute, as he believes the rapper would be perfect for the improv format.

"We keep telling him to pull up. He’s king of the jokes, king of being petty ..." Cannon said, before revealing he was open to collaborating with 50 on TV projects. "I love what 50 is doing. In a real way, all respect. Yo, he jumped into the television game in a real way ... When I see another black man getting like that, we put all the jokes and the hip-hop stuff aside, man. I salute him 100 percent with that."
