A video taken at a recent surprise concert in Los Angeles shows The Kid Laroi pause the show after two fans were tackled by security.

On Thursday, April 21, Laroi played a secret concert at the Lodge Room in Los Angeles, but he was forced to address the audience after the security team tackled two fans who jumped on stage, per TMZ. “Everybody let’s back-up a little bit,” he can be heard telling the audience in the aftermath.

“Who’s glasses was this right here?” he said as he passed some sunglasses to someone in the audience, presumably one of the individuals who jumped on stage. “You look cool as fuck.” While the video doesn’t show the fans jumping on stage, it does show that Laroi made sure to check on them after the incident.

Ever since the crowd crush tragedy at Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival, which left 10 dead, many artists have been making a point to check in with fans when their shows get out of hand. Billie Eilish made headlines earlier this year after she stopped a show to help a fan who couldn’t breathe, which Kanye West perceived as a slight against Scott, his close friend and collaborator. She later paused another one of her shows to check in with the crowd that same month.

More recently, indie rock band Arcade Fire paused their set at Coachella when frontman Win Butler requested the assistance of a medic for someone in the crowd.
