Schoolboy Q wants to make it clear that he’s not using Ozempic to help manage his weight.
After he saw someone online accusing him of using the medication, which is used for both the treatment of diabetes and for long-term weight management, the TDE rapper shared a series of posts on his Instagram Stories showing him at the gym. “Motherfuckers said I was on Ozempic, bro… I’ve never been more offended in my life,” he said. “Y’all got me fucked up.”
He then revealed that he goes to the gym at least six days a week, but will often work out seven days a week. “Full body, every day,” he continued. “Stop crying like a little bitch, every day. Yeah, let’s get to it, ya hear me?” In a follow-up video, he recorded a video of him working out and captioned it, “I do these every day… not joking every fucking day.” He shared another video that showed him with dumbbells and he added, “Do 6-8 reps for da big muscles stop doing 10 lil bro.”
In an interview with Charlamagne Tha God in 2019, Schoolboy Q revealed that he decided to get sober after he woke up one day to find out he weighed as much as 250 lbs. “I was drinking so much lean, I was on so many pills bruh… The whole [Oxymoron] session, n***a, I don’t have one memory from that,” he told Charlamagne.
Q has been upfront about his struggles with drug addiction in the past, and would often rap about his experiences with drugs on his albums. But ever since committing to sobriety, he’s managed to get into a healthy workout routine that is clearly working for him, even if he’s facing accusations of Ozempic use.
