In a post shared on his Instagram Stories, Rick Ross responded to the recent viral video that showed him waiting to board a commercial Frontier flight.
“For the ones who want to know where my jet at, obviously didn’t get the memo it’s being updated with StarLink,” he said. “You know what StarLink is? Yeah, that’s the half-a-million dollar wi-fi … Yeah, that’s where my jet at. And I chose to fly commercial to go to Colombia to go party with Trick Daddy and Ball Greezy.”
He added that he had “an amazing time” at the party and suggested that anyone who is commenting on what he’s up to mind their own business.
“Shit, if I send my jet to go pick my Mama up, and I fly motherfucking commercial … That’s what I do for Mama,” he continued. “Y’all n***as better stay focused … Since it’s a big deal for Rozay to fly commercial sometimes, I might need to buy me a wing at the Atlanta airport. I’ll buy the whole C-wing.”
On Drake’s recent album, Iceman, he made a reference to seeing another rapper flying economy on the track “Whisper My Name.”
“If I’m lyin’, I’m flyin’ economy, I bet I know who I see,” Drizzy rapped on the track, which resulted in a wave of Drake fans highlighting the clip of Rozay flying commercial.
It’s unclear if Drake was making a reference to Rozay, with whom he’s beefing, or if it’s just a coincidence.
Rick Ross has long painted himself as the face of luxury in the world of hip-hop, and he’s been linked to a private Gulfstream G550 jet. The plane famously crash-landed in Dallas in 2024, which the rapper jokingly blamed on Drake amid their feud.
