Pooh Shiesty and eight co-conspirators, including his father, Lontrell Denell Williams Sr., could face life in prison for an alleged kidnapping and robbery involving Gucci Mane.
As detailed in a release from the Northern District of Texas’ U.S. Attorney’s Office, the nine defendants who were charged with kidnapping and robbing "numerous victims at a music studio in Dallas, Texas" could face life behind bars. Eight of the nine suspects were arrested on Wednesday (April 1) in Dallas, Texas, and Memphis, Tennessee.
Shiesty (real name Lontrell Williams) is alleged to have traveled with the eight other defendants to Dallas to kidnap and rob several individuals who met with him for what they believed was a business meeting back in January.
"Instead of discussing business in a civil matter, the defendants resorted to violence and intimidation to achieve their purported business objectives," United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, Ryan Raybould, said. "For anyone contemplating using violence and intimidation as a business practice, I'm here to tell you that it will be vigorously investigated and prosecuted in the Northern District of Texas."
In the criminal complaint, reviewed by Complex, Gucci Mane isn’t mentioned directly, but a victim is referred to throughout as "R.D." Radric Davis is Gucci's legal name, and Pooh Shiesty was previously signed the Atlanta rapper's record label, 1017 — and the complaint mentions this.
According to authorities, Shiesty forced the victim "R.D." to release him from a business contract by holding him at gunpoint. Several other individuals who joined the rapper allegedly stole from "R.D" and other people at the recording studio.
