Police were able to trace the stolen items Pooh Shiesty and co-conspirators took in an alleged robbery and kidnapping, said to have targeted his former label boss Gucci Mane, thanks to an Apple AirTag that was still in the bag.

As detailed in a criminal complaint reviewed by Complex, one of the victims in the alleged crime, identified as M.M., was “choked from behind to the point of nearly losing consciousness during the kidnapping and robbery.” The victim allegedly had his Rolex watch, a Louis Vuitton bag, Apple AirPods headphones, and wallet robbed at gunpoint by Demarcus Glover, one of the other defendants arrested alongside Pooh Shiesty, real name Lontrell Denell Williams Jr.

Police said that the Louis Vuitton bag, the AirPods, and wallet each have an Apple AirTag attached. The document includes surveillance footage showing the last places some of the AirTags were traced to. In an Instagram Story, Glover also appeared to boast about his new Rolex.

The details of Pooh Shiesty’s arrest, alongside eight others including his father, have continued to unravel following an FBI search of his property. The rapper and his father have been accused of being involved with a robbery and kidnapping that targeted Gucci Mane, whom Pooh Shiesty previously signed to.

Gucci Mane, born Radric Davis, is not directly named in the criminal complaint, but a victim is identified throughout the document as R.D. According to authorities, Shiesty stormed into a Dallas-area studio with several co-conspirators demanding to be released from his record deal with 1017.

“Inside the control room, [Lontrell Williams Jr., a.k.a. Pooh Shiesty] produced purported contract termination or release paperwork from a bag and told R.D. to sign,” reads the complaint. “When R.D. declined, Williams Jr. became agitated, and the pair started to argue. M.M. and B.P. could see inside the recording room and initially believed R.D. and Williams Jr. to be discussing business, but as M.M. saw the conversation intensifying, he texted C.W. (who was still in the music studio’s lobby).”

Pooh Shiesty allegedly pulled out a “black AK-style pistol” and pointed it at the victim, identified as R.D., demanding that he sign contractual release paperwork. The victim complied.
