During the live edition of the It Is What It Is podcast at ComplexCon 2025 in Las Vegas, Mase was asked what the "craziest thing" he had ever asked for from a potential romantic partner, and he shared a wild response.
Joined by his co-hosts Cam’ron and Treasure ‘Stat Baby’ Wilson, Mase shared something particularly ridiculous. “When I first thought about getting married, I asked her to buy the ring if she was serious,” he said, which was met with laughter from the audience and shock from Wilson. “You asked her to buy the ring?!” said Wilson, to which Mase replied with a laugh, “We’re different.”
Mase was previously married to Twyla Betha from 2001 to 2014. As reported by TMZ, the rapper and podcast host filed for divorce early in 2014 after roughly two years of separation. They briefly paused the divorce proceedings but eventually finalized it in June that same year. She was granted physical custody of their two children together, and he was asked to pay $6,000 a month for child and spousal support.
As Mase is known for keeping his personal life private, it's unclear if he's romantically involved with anyone at the moment.
Earlier this year, Cam’ron and Mase offered their thoughts on Travis Hunter allegedly not signing a prenup before getting married to Leanna Lenee. "Imma sit this one out," Mase said when the topic came up. “I think when it comes to the young lady, she does have like different things that have transpired. For me as a dad if that was my son, I would definitely be concerned.”
Cam added that he would never get married without signing a prenup. "They'll try to hit you with that shit, 'Why get a prenup if you really love me?'" Cam added. "... Do what you want, Travis, that's up to you. I'm signing a prenup unless shorty getting as much money as I get or more than me. If you're not getting more than me, you have to sign a prenup. It just works like that for me."
