Jim Jones Says Mase Once Asked Jay-Z for Cab Money After Roc-A-Fella Meeting

"We look like suckers walking outta here," Jim remembered.

Jim Jones revealed Mase asked Jay-Z for money to take a cab following a meeting at Roc-a-Fella Records in the hopes of landing a record deal.

While speaking with Memphis Bleek on Artist 2 Artist, Jim claimed a young Mase once asked Jay for cab money on their way out of the office. "We get in there, it don't work out," Jones said. "And on the way out, n***a Mase asked the n***a Jay for some cab money back uptown."

The revelation left Bleek stunned.

Capo stated he would have never asked for cab money, opting to walk to his destination instead.

"I'm only telling you because I never forgot that shit because I'm not that type of n***a," he said. "I would've rather walk uptown before I ask these n****s in here for any type of cab money."

Jones said they should have left with their dignity and pride, and given off the impression that they were "doing something," but all that changed when Mase posed the question.

To no one's surprise, Jay turned down the request in true Hov fashion. "Jay dubbed 'em, 'I ain't got no cab money for you n****s," Jim remembered.

He added, "In my mind, I'm like, 'We look like suckers walking outta here.'"

The conversation starts at the 28-minute mark.
