Lil Xan is facing felony charges in connection with an incident with a fan at a concert in Boston last year.
As reported by TMZ, law enforcement sources revealed that the 28-year-old rapper has been charged with two felony counts of assault and battery for the November 2024 incident, which was captured on video. In the clip, which was taken at the Royale Boston nightclub, Xan appeared to lose his temper with an audience member and throw his microphone into the crowd. He then proceeded to kick a man in the head repeatedly. It's not clear what prompted the outburst, but it did appear as though the man flipped off the artist at one point.
The news of the charges comes not long after Lil Xan indicated that he was looking for a fresh start in 2025. In a brief interview with TMZ, he revealed that he's been three years sober and he has his new record label to thank for supporting his sobriety journey. "I'm around the right people right now," he shared. "I'm just very blessed and grateful." He's previously been open about his struggles with substance abuse and has been to rehab multiple times.
Last year, he was fined $27,823.89 after he threatened a man with a gun during an incident in 2019. He allegedly got into an argument with another man during a heated discussion about 2Pac after Xan went viral for referring to the legendary rapper as "boring."
