Lil Xan has been fined over $27,000 for threatening a man with a gun.

TMZ reports that the 28-year-old will have to pay $27,823.89 in damages and other costs to Anthony Sanchez. In court documents obtained by the outlet, Xan is said to have brandished a firearm during a heated discussion with Sanchez about 2Pac a few years ago.

In 2019, at a 7-Eleven in Los Angeles, Lil Xan and Sanchez got into a fiery debate about Tupac Shakur. Sanchez called Xan out for labeling the late rapper as “boring” in viral comments from 2018.

In a clip of the incident, Sanchez dubs Xan a “bitch,” which prompts him to pull out a gun and point it toward Sanchez. The man later filed a lawsuit in 2020, saying he was afraid for his life; Xan didn’t answer the complaint, ending in the $27,000 plus fine.

In 2018, during an interview with RevoltTV, Xan was asked to rank Pac’s music on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest. Lil Xan gave Shakur’s discography a “2,” explaining that he found his music “boring.”

Xan later addressed his controversial comments in 2023, telling AllHipHop that, while inflammatory, they had a favorable outcome.

“If you would ask me if I could go back and rewrite that, I wouldn’t though,” he told the outlet. “Because what that did, now that I’m seeing it, it started an interesting conversation in Hip-Hop. I did get a lot of backlash, of course, but as the years have gone by since that moment, it just started what I think is a very good conversation in Hip-Hop.”
