Lil' Kim has offered her condolences to those impacted by the fires in Los Angeles with a misguided post on social media.

The 50-year-old rapper on Tuesday shared an Instagram Story, which she later reposted on her Instagram and X, formerly Twitter.

"#PrayForLA," she captioned the screenshot alongside a prayer emoji. "Been sending strong prayers up for LA and everyone affected by the fires. This is heartbreaking. I pray to Jesus that God make it monsoon in LA."

The fires in Los Angeles have put 6 million people in the area under critical fire threat, as winds continue to keep the blazes burning.

A windblown dust and ash advisory is in effect for almost 17 million residents in California, CNN reports. There have been 25 confirmed deaths so far, and as many as 12,000 buildings have been destroyed.

While countless Los Angeles residents are hoping for relief from the wildfires, perhaps a monsoon's heavy winds and rain isn't the best thing to hope for.

Lil' Kim, who has long been a Christian, has stirred controversy in the past regarding her faith. In 2023, she said that her then-upcoming memoir would eventually go on to sell more copies than the Holy Bible, one of the most published and translated pieces of literature in human history.
