Following the news that Kid Rock would be headlining a competing Super Bowl Halftime show hosted by the Charlie Kirk-founded Turning Point USA, some of the 55-year-old’s older music has come back to haunt him.

After Rock’s headlining performance at the conservative organization’s ‘All-American Halftime Show,’ which will compete against Bad Bunny’s halftime show at the Super Bowl, lyrics from his 2001 track “Cool, Daddy Cool” started to circulate on social media. “Now some people say my mind’s blown, I’m coolin’ like a snow cone / On my cell phone, I’m paid, G, can’t call me, just page me,” Rock sings on the track. “Young ladies, young ladies, I like ‘em underage / Some say that’s statutory, but I say it’s mandatory.”

The song originally appeared in the soundtrack for the 2001 live-action animated hybrid Osmosis Jones, and the questionable nature of the lyrics have frequently circulated online whenever Rock, a big supporter of Donald Trump, has been in the news.

Turning Point USA announced the lineup for its competing halftime show—which will be livestreamed on YouTube, X, and Rumble—earlier this week. Alongside Kid Rock, other performers include Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett. Even JD Vance chimed in to express his excitement for the show, likely because the thought of a Puerto Rican rapper and singer headlining the Super Bowl chills him to his core.

“Fantastic lineup for the TPUSA halftime show, including the great Bob Ritchie AKA KID ROCK,” JD Vance shared in a tweet.

Trump has also indicated that he won’t be watching the halftime performances this year, which also include the pop-punk band Green Day. "I'm anti-them. I think it's a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible," said Trump. Both Bad Bunny and Green Day have been outspoken against Republicans and especially the Trump administration. Following the announcement that Bad Bunny would headline, Trump's administration issued warnings that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents would be present at Super Bowl LX
