Jess Hilarious recently called out her Breakfast Club co-hosts for how they treated her and left her out of the loop upon her return following maternity leave. Now she's confronted them on-air and explained why she vented her frustrations on Instagram Live.

On the most recent edition of The Breakfast Club, Jess Hilarious said she felt it was "weird" when she returned to the show. She also said she "wasn't too fond" of her temporary replacement Loren LoRosa when she returned, because she was confused as to why she was still there as an on-air personality. "Nobody has even tried to clear up the narrative that I'm a villain," she continued, to which Charlamagne Tha God advised her to "stop listening to the internet," especially when it comes to YouTube comments.

"If you had an issue, a problem, a situation or something that you felt, why you ain't bring it to the team?" DJ Envy chimed in, noting that he pulled her aside when she returned. "We have your back! ... You are great at what you do."

They were later joined by LoRosa, who acknowledged that there are issues with the working relationship at The Breakfast Club, even if she thought some of Jess' stream came across as "crazy" to her. They both spoke about how they're "fighting" for airtime, and LoRosa took issue with her being told to "shut up" by her co-host.

"I think y'all can work very well together and once again, you got to stop letting the internet pit y'all against each other," Charlamagne said. "It's Women's History Month!"

In her initial Instagram Live stream, per Baller Alert, she said that she personally picked Loren LoRosa to fill her role while she was on maternity leave. "But when I came back, she was still there," she said. "Nobody told me anything." She suggested that Loren's segment, Loren with the Latest, felt like an attempt to replace her recurring segment, Jess with the Mess.

"In this industry, there’s never a right time to have a baby, so you just have them when you have them," she continued. She also said that her co-hosts failed to offer her support when she was the target of online trolls. "Not one person came to my defense," she said. "We're supposed to be a team, but it doesn't feel like that."

Jess Hilarious joined The Breakfast Club as a permanent co-host in February 2024, over a year after Angela Yee departed the show.
