Key Takeaways

  • Drake’s long-awaited solo album Iceman had its release date hidden inside a towering ice structure in Toronto.
  • Streamer Kishka climbed the structure on livestream, pulled out a blue “Freeze the world” bag hidden in the ice, and found a note revealing the album is set to drop in May.

A release date for Drake’s long-awaited new solo album, Iceman, has been discovered in his towering ice structure in Toronto.

Streamer Kishka was among the many fans working to see if they could uncover the release date for the project, which Drizzy suggested was somewhere inside the structure. He livestreamed himself on top of the structure hammering away at it and revealed that he pulled out a blue bag that read, “Freeze the world.”

During the same stream, he unpacked the package and discovered that the release date was, in fact, inside the bag.

When is Drake’s Iceman album releasing? It’s dropping in May…

“Iceman, May 15,” the contents of the bag read, as seen in a screenshot from his stream below and IG post.

How did Drake react to Kishka revealing the Iceman release date?

After Kishka revealed the release date for the project, he drove to Drake’s Toronto mansion, and the rapper made a brief cameo by poking his head out of a window to give a shoutout to the streamer.

Did other fans interfere with Drake’s ‘Iceman’ installation?

Shortly after the structure was revealed in Toronto, crowds gathered around the ice. Many assumed the release date would be uncovered once the ice naturally melted, but some fans took it upon themselves to speed up the process. Videos circulating online showed fans ignoring the safety warnings about the structure and chipping away at the sculpture.

Other videos showed people using sledgehammers, makeshift blowtorches, and salt to hopefully discover what Drake had hidden inside.

Drizzy first teased Iceman all the way back in 2024, but fans were given plenty of new music from the Canadian superstar in the meantime. Most notably, he teamed up with OVO Sound signee PartyNextDoor for the collaborative album, Some Sexy Songs 4 U.
