Sean 'Diddy' Combs reportedly wanted to show some love to his fellow inmates at the low-security federal prison Fort Dix in New Jersey this Thanksgiving.

As reported by TMZ, representatives for the disgraced Bad Boy Records founder, who is currently serving a 50-month sentence after being found guilty of two Mann Act violations, worked with the group Bankroll Bosses to provide Thanksgiving meals for as many as 1,000 of his fellow inmates. The food was purchased from the facility’s commissary and was prepared over the course of two days before it was distributed to each of the housing units.

“Thanksgiving, to me, is about making sure other people eat,” Diddy, who has previously participated in efforts to provide meals for families on the holidays, is quoted as telling the outlet via his representatives. “Everybody misses their family. People get depressed during the holidays. We just wanted to come together as a family and do our own thing.”

Former gang leader, B.I., is reported to have helped organize the holiday efforts, which are said to have included turkey roast with trimmings.

“We cooked the food and sent it to all the buildings,” he told TMZ. “Enough for about 200 people in each building. It took days to prep everything.”

Diddy added, “There’s a lot of misinterpretations about prison. There is a strong brotherhood. We all look out for each other. It’s nothing but a positive thing,” adding, “It’s like a little bit of home in a dark place.”

Complex has reached out to Diddy's reps for comment. This story may be updated.

Before he was found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, Diddy was being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. During his time awaiting trial in jail, he was reportedly provided with a Thanksgiving spread, which included dinner rolls, cranberry sauce, turkey roast, vegetables, and mashed potatoes. For dinner that day, he was provided with options including peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, potato chips, and fruit.

Recently, Diddy’s son, King Combs, claimed that he could be home in time for Christmas.

"We gon play the 'Diddy Free' joint whole Christmas, whole Thanksgiving," he said, before adding: "He coming home, though. Watch out, he might come home before then."

Diddy's legal team is currently pursuing an appeal.
