Chris Brown isn’t happy about people criticizing him following the announcement of his joint tour with Usher.

In a post shared on Instagram, Brown suggested that critics don’t have to come to the tour if they weren’t happy to see Usher performing alongside him. “The funniest and weirdest shit ever to me is the fact that people have the option to come to my tour and option not to,” he wrote. “I know everyone who is a fan of me and USHER will definitely be in the building and it will be PACKED just like last year.”

He added that he’s been noticing “rage bait” content from women on Instagram and TikTok, highlighting his problematic past, whom he called “Karens.”

“I’m scrolling through Insta and TikTok, and I come across rage bait pages and or these fake woke stand up for nothing pages bashing people for wanted to come have a good time,” he continued. “The dudes hating, I can understand that (thinking we gone steal ya girl and shit). BUT THE KARENS, and the self-hating hoes be making me LAUGH. I CAN’T WAIT TO RUB THIS SHIT IN YALL FACE.”

In 2009, Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault for the 2008 assault of his then-girlfriend, Rihanna. He received five years of probation and was ordered to attend one year of domestic violence counseling. He was also accused of domestic violence by his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran, who was granted a five-year restraining order against him in 2017. In 2024, he was the subject of an Investigation Discovery docuseries, which detailed several alleged instances of assault. He filed a lawsuit against Investigation Discovery’s parent company, Warner Bros., in January 2025.

More recently, radio host and podcaster Peter Rosenberg suggested that Brown should be appreciative of Usher standing by him. “Usher, two weeks ago, said the line about Diddy that didn't come off great, right? And then two weeks later, he's like, ‘Screw it. Now I'm going on tour with Chris Brown.’ Let's just be mindful of the brand here, Usher. I hope Chris Brown has appreciation for Usher doing this,” Rosenberg said on an episode of The Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show.
