Cardi B Says Offset Divorce Proceedings Are 'Not Peaceful at All'

In an appearance on 'The Breakfast Club,' she said she laughed when she heard Offset's breakup song, "Move On."

Cardi B has shared a few details about her divorce from ex-husband Offset, explaining that it hasn't been plain sailing in any shape or form.

Sitting down for an interview on The Breakfast Club to coincide with the release of Cardi's long-awaited sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, co-host Loren Lorosa stated that, from an outside perspective, the situation between the former couple seems "a lot more peaceful" compared to when the divorce was filed in July 2024.

"No it's not. It's not peaceful at all," Cardi replied, before saying that the divorce, which has yet to be finalized, is not something she particularly wants to talk about right now. "It's like, it's a court thing, but it is not peaceful at all," she added. "Just know."

On Offset's latest album, Kiari, he closes the record with a song addressing the end of their relationship, titled "Move On." Asked for her thoughts on the track, on which Offset raps: "fuck the time that we had," she didn't mince her words.

"I laughed," she said. "Whatever. You let the world think what they want to think. People see it. People see what's up. I don't bother nobody." Charlamagne Tha God asked Cardi if it "hurt" her feelings when Offset suggested on "Move On" that she couldn't cook, and she said it didn't. "But now you got all these bitches that cook for you, why you still bothering me?" she said. "Shit."

She said that it was "never a requirement" during their marriage, and she found it strange that he's now "acting like that was an issue." She was asked if she still thinks love and marriage are worth it, she said she does. "I will get married again," she said. "But not as quick as I got married the last time. But it's a lot. It's really a lot. It's actually disgusting."

Recently, Cardi B has been very open about the dissolution of her relationship with Offset. In an interview with Gayle King, she suggested that Offset is a bad person.

"I just wish he was a better person, but it is what it is," she said. "I think he has some type of hate in his heart right now. … I don't really have hate in my heart anymore. I don’t know how long that’s gonna take for him but that’s always been my wish. I get along with everybody that I dated. If we all move on, there shouldn’t be no animosity."
