It's been one hell of a year for Brockhampton. The group signed with RCA Records, toured the world for the first time, and now they've got a No. 1 album. Billboard reports that Brockhampton's fourth studio album, Iridescence, has debuted at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 with 101,000 equivalent album units.

Released on Sept. 21, Iridescence arrived after a tumultuous time for the band. They lost founding member Ameer Vann earlier in the year following allegations of sexual misconduct, and the resulting fallout saw the members take a break to recharge. Brockhampton would hit the road again and record Iridescence in 10 days at London's prestigious Abbey Road Studios.

Of the 101,000 equivalent album units, 79,000 of which were album sales. As their first effort released through their $15 million deal with RCA Records, Brockhampton have stuck their landing after what could have been a disastrous year for the 14-strong group. Previously, their highest-charting album was 2017's Saturation III, which peaked at No. 15. Its predecessor, Saturation II, hit the No. 57 spot, while the first Saturation did not chart.

During its first week, Iridescence raked in an impressive 28.2 million on-demand audio streams. Josh Groban's Bridges, which was originally set to take the No. 1 spot, has debuted at No. 2 with 96,000 equivalent album units, 94,000 of which in album sales.
