Los Angeles rapper and singer Blxst has dropped his latest project Before You Go, which sees him further expand upon his blend of hip-hop and R&B.
Featuring appearances from Arin Ray (“Fake Love in LA”), Grandmaster Vic (“Pick Your Poison”), Zacari (“Sometimes”), and Rick Ross (“Couldn’t Wait for It”), Before You Go serves as the follow-up to Blxst’s 2020 release No Love Lost. With its cloudy production and genre-hopping tendencies, Before You Go is some of Blxst’s strongest material to date.
To coincide with the release of Before You Go, Blxst also shared the video for “Every Good Girl.” With its gliding drone photography and sun-kissed aesthetic, the clip tells the story of a romance in its honeymoon period.
“‘Every Good Girl’ is my version of a ghetto Disney story, finding your perfect match despite your differences,” said Blxst of the visual.
Prior to the release of the project, Blxst showed up on Buddy’s recent album, Superghetto. Last year, he teamed-up with Bino Rideaux for their full-length collaborative tape, Sixtape 2. The two previously teamed-up for the first entry in the Sixtape series in 2019. Other notable guest features in recent months include the remix of Fireboy DML’s “Peru,” which also featured Atlanta rapper 21 Savage.
